✈ WHAT IS AN AIR TRAFFIC CONTROLLER?
A Person whose Job is to organize Air Routes of Aircrafts, and tell pilots with the
help of Radio when they can Take-off or Land. They give information about Weather Updates, Visibility, taxing, and whether the parking gate is Vacant or not.
Air Traffic Controller (ATC) is responsible for safe flights. They Work on a Controller Tower of an Airport to track flights by Using radio equipment and Communication devices. They gave a vital role in managing airspace and keeping aircraft safe.

To be eligible to become Air Traffic Controller in India, Firstly the intersecting candidate should complete their graduation in Engineering.
- Computer Engineering
- Electronics and Communication Engineering
- Telecommunication Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
- Electrical Engineering
- Radio Engineering
Master's Degree in Engineering or any discipline with Electronics, Telecom, Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science with First Division (60% or above).
If you are Commercial Pilot License Holder with basic knowledge in Radio and Computer then this type of candidate is also eligible to become Air Traffic Controller in India.
Age Limit:- Lower age limit is 21 years, while the upper age limit is 27 years.

- Having Good Command in the English Language.

✈ TYPES OF AIR TRAFFIC CONTROLLER
Air Traffic Controller:- In this Job Post, the Person is responsible and directing the movements of the aircraft on the ground in the air with the help of radar, Computers and visual references. Thay Control all Aircraft which is present on the ground after landing or before Take-off.
Approach and Departure Controller:- In this Job Post, the Person is given clearance to enter controlled airspace and provide information about Route.
They also provide Weather updates to the Pilot.
Tower Controller:- They Direct the movements of Vehicles (Cars, Pickup Trucks, Airlines Buses etc) on runways, and taxiways, check flight plans and also clearance to the pilot during landing or take-off.
En Route Controller:- Their job is to monitor the aircraft once it leaves the airport's space. They work at air route traffic control located throughout the country.
✈ EXAM AND THEIR PATTERN
This is Taken by the Air Authority of India. This is known as AAI-ATC EXam (Air Authority of India-Air Traffic Controller Exams). Usually, this exam is conducted in June-July every year and from time to time as per requirements.
There are two Sections to the Exam.
- Technical Section
- Non-Technical Section
- Physics (Class 11-12th NCERT Books) --- 30 Marks
- Engineering Mathematics/ B.sc Mathematics --- 30 Marks
Non-Technical Part (Total:- 60 Marks)
- English--- 20 Marks
- General Intelligence/Reasoning --- 15 Marks
- General Aptitude/ Quantitative Aptitude--- 15 Marks
- General Knowledge --- 15 Marks
Total Marks---120 Marks
Exam Duration:- 120 Minutes

✈ STEP TO BECOME ATC AFTER PASSING THE EXAM
STEP 1:- I Think you apply for the AAI-ATC Exam on the Official Website Airport Authority of India.
STEP 2:- Do Hard Work with Dedication then after passing the exam, prepare for Medical Test or Voice Test.
STEP 3:- After Passing Voice & Medical test selected candidates are sent to Civil Aviation Training Collage, Allahabad or Hyderabad for 1-year Training.
STEP 4:- This is your last step to becoming an Air traffic controller, After completing 1-year of training at Allahabad & Hyderabad then you are posted as a Junior Executive (ATC) then after 2 years of Experience you are promoted as Assitant Manager.
